Gruhn Guitars opened in 1970 (originally called GTR) less than 100 feet from its present location at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Broadway in downtown Nashville. At any given time, Gruhn’s inventory of close to a thousand instruments can include everything from a 19th century Martin guitar to a ’59 sunburst Gibson Les Paul, from a Fender blackguard Telecaster to a Jazz Age tenor banjo, plus a selection of new instruments featuring Martins and Taylors custom-designed by George Gruhn.
Store hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday (except major holidays).
